About the Black Moon Lilith Astrology Deck

The Black Moon Lilith Astrology deck is the most comprehensive astrology card oracle to date. Unlike other astrology decks based primarily on the Major Arcana of tarot decks, the Black Lilith Astrology cards focuses entirely on the horoscope. Western Astrology is a system based upon interpreting the movement of the stars, determining traits and talents in the natal chart and predicting an outcome based upon the planet’s transits. Astrology was (and is) used to read a natal birth chart, to understand present circumstances and to make predictions.

This western form of astrology, originating in the area of Mesopotamia (now Iran and Iraq) is easily 4,000 years old. But evidence shows that markings in caves that appear to be following the lunar phases suggests some form of astrology may be as much 25,000 years old. Predictions made by ancient astrologers were done by tracking the gradual movement of lights in the sky and connecting their progressions or changes to life on earth.

The Hermetic idea of "that which is Below corresponds to that which is Above, and that which is Above corresponds to that which is Below, to accomplish the miracle of the One Thing,” was and still is applied directly to astrology. As a science, astrology is steeped in superstitious language, but that doesn’t mean astrology isn’t valid. Many scientists and academicians, who set out to disprove astrology once and for all, came away believing there might be something to it. Sigmund Freud said he believed there was some validity to astrology, but it would take too many years to devote to it in order to draw any educated conclusion.

Now these ancient discoveries are captured and explained in this new astrological oracle created by astrologer and Phoenix Card author Susan Sheppard. There are divination decks that include astrological components in their designs but they are primarily tarot decks and astrology predates tarot cards by 3,500 years. The Black Moon Lilith Astrology deck is based entirely upon the accepted principles of modern astrology. There has been no attempt to attach these ideas to a tarot deck. Modern tarot decks do base some of their meanings on astrological influences but this is rather recent. The earliest tarot decks, that surfaced in Milan, Italy in the 1440s do not appear to have been heavily influenced by astrology, if at all.

Black Moon Lilith Star Deck covers chart-based astrology, beyond the regular Sun and Moon signs and the cards are not related to birthdays. The deck is founded upon astrological ideas that give insight into the nature of the question being asked, much like a horary chart. Such ideas include the meanings behind the planets, the houses, the lunar nodes, Mercury retrograde, Void-of-course Moon, the meanings of the elements, solar and lunar eclipses and much more. The artwork selected for this deck are either ancient works that have to do with the planets, signs or gods and goddesses related to the signs or are images which expresses the meanings and energies of the signs, planets, houses and much more.

Some images are as old as 1,800 B.C. up to the 18^th Century through the works of poet and artist William Blake. Among all of the ideas considered “new age,” (which is really old age, of course) there is no divination system more accurate than astrology. Your Black Moon Lilith Astrology Cards Forecast!

This is the first installment of my new blog "Black Moon Lilith Astrology Cards" in which I will be including forecasts for all of the signs. This is the only divination system (to my knowledge) that is based entirely on the tenets and wisdom of astrology and with no relationship to tarot decks. The deck is now designed. I'm now working on the book about how to read the Black Moon Lilith Cards. I've already thought of some unique and easy methods to read them plus suggested card spreads. This new oracle will be a delight for astrologers who will immediately have an understanding of the card designs. Leo - July 23 -August 21 "Third House" Your card is an example of early Egyptian hieroglyphics and an even earlier form of writing, the Sumerian cuneiform script. If nothing else, the 3rd House is about communicating ideas and expressing them clearly now. It is house of clarity, definition and language. It rules the tongue, the hands, the fingers and the eyes. If nothing else, your month is all about thinking, speaking and cajoling. The energy around you now is one that is spontaneous, quirky and curious. It's important that you spell it out as clearly as possible now. Playing along and not saying what you think or feel has not served you, it may have added to the hurt and made the wounds crustier and more painful. The flip side of this is also true. Be careful of what you say about others—especially with retrograde Mercury opposing nebulous Neptune. About the matters you seem to be so enmeshed in, your judgment may not be the best. Expect eye-opening developments concerning siblings, or young people under the age of twenty-five. If anyone needs your attention, they do. Expect odd developments in the neighborhood, for instance noise, or maybe a small fire. Your eye glasses or contacts could be in need of a change. Documents, emails, phone calls are all key as to how successful you will be these few weeks, so don’t overlook them. Respond to each and every one. They may turn out to be exactly what you need. Expect a key revelation between the 7th and 10th.

Virgo - August 22 - September 23 "Neptune"

Frankly, it’s not the time to rely upon common sense because your common sense just flew out the window. You’re confused now, Virgo, over the way others are acting. Neptune is befuddling a number of matters and the person you may be calling friend may be anything but. For this card, the God Hypnos is featured and this means that analytical mind of yours has fallen asleep. The trident on the card indicates it’s about time to poke that devil in your life in the ass with a pitchfork. No kidding, kiddo. In short, fuzzy Neptune has Left you drained and hypnotized. The positive side is that you are having the most fantastic visions of future goals, relationships, job, money, travel, you name it—you’re in a virtual La-La-Land. It’s always good for Virgos to take a vacation from those things they obsess on and worry about. Make certain others doesn’t dump their responsibilities on you: sick people, those who are very troubled or people who are just plain trouble. What is good in your life is you are allowing yourself to dream of what might be. And even though by next week you may think these ideas very foolish, they aren’t. You are forming a direction, albeit hard to see right now. Look for changes in your routine, especially concerning your job. Be careful when it comes to medicine or drugs. Deep blue keeps your spirit serene.

Libra - September 24 - October 23 "The Moon" The Moon card turns up when all is not what it seems. There are complexities and the truth is beneath the surface. The next few weeks are about soulful searching, tuning into your dreams, and remaining open. Your inner clock is working even though your outside clock may not be. Family dynamics, rooted memories and dreams are emphasized. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself a bit weepy in these coming days. It's just your soul being cleansed by the gentle rains of a deeper awareness. Astrologers have written that the moon represents thoughts that lie too deep for tears, when we feel something deeply but cannot articulate it. Working with women (especially those who trigger a response dealing with our mothers) are key. Try not to allow them to overrun you. It may seem they are holding you as an emotional hostage—whether true or not, this is how it feels. Some Librans may be taken outside of themselves by breathtaking passions, a secret rendezvous may figure in. Something that has been “held in secret,” is likely revealed. Those of you who may not have these passions will find your days taken up by social events and being in a crowd of emotional people, like a concert, a spiritual event, or just in a group where feelings run high, leaving you abuzz. Expect to meet up with someone from your past. There won’t be words for it because now only feelings matter.

Scorpio - October 24 - November 22 "Black Moon Lilith"

Your moods are deep and stormy but you have insight that cuts to the core of all matters. There’s no fooling you. You’re a regular warlock or enchantress. Little escapes that x-ray vision because you see completely. You may want to keep to yourself and remain more solitary, left alone to your thoughts and dreams. It seems as if others are an intrusion into your inner world. Some jealousies may have formed, especially coming from your partner or a close friend. They may feel as if they're losing you to a greater source of power which has become a main feature in your life. You’re more sensitive to devouring types, so build your fortress. Guilt, shame or grief may overtake you. If this sounds negative, it’s not. Transformations for a Scorpio tend to be ripping, emotional ones. You're truly connected to your deeper self, and out of that deeper self, you've formed a clearer path. Black Moon Lilith shows us another side, as the famous analyst Carl G. Sagittarius - November 23 - December 22 "Fifth House"
Not meaning to sing with the choir but it’s now the time to let down your hair and unleash your sense of wonder and adventure—that means taking it to “the max.” Everyone knows this already about Sagittarians who are supremely optimistic and many times a clown--But never more so than now. Currently, you’re insanely creative, adored by children, pregnant with possibility— a regular romance magnet— not to mention you’ll be playing this all out in the public eye very soon. Whatever you do at this time grabs attention, be it promotion, publicity, rumors (ones that can only help you in the long run,) and the center of some amazing news, it’s all for the taking. For those who are single and looking for a fun and frivolous partner in crime, he/she is either just arriving or close on the horizon. It goes without saying you’re pretty doggoned busy, parties, weddings, theater dates, your life is a regular circus of clean, good fun. Art classes, creating and manifesting your dreams, dealing with children, playing about, appearing on a stage, on television or in videos, or just the source of everyone else's fun, it is you who leads the parade this time. Romance, creating news things and children are key. You're also about to receive an awesome gift quite unexpectedly.

Capricorn - December 23 - January 20 "Akasha Spirit" Akasha is the card of spirit and holds memories and insights from the realm of spirit. Whether you are ready for it or not, everything is being spiritualized in your life. You’ve just been bumped to a higher level and more elevated order. You feel the strain. It’s called growth. So the piper is calling. Even what you do for your day-to-day life will have more meaning in alignment with your soul’s purpose. The symbol for this card is the Pentagram, which many believe is a symbol for Wicca. The Pentagram, is in fact, a very ancient symbol, used over many cultures including Christianity, where the five points represent the five wounds of Christ, and in sacred geometry, the higher point represents the highest point of a temple, one directed toward the heavens. It has also been called the “Witch’s cross” or the “Goblin’s foot” but this comes from an era when pagan symbols were demonized. This is not a time for you to be focusing on mundane issues, more serious matters are calling you. There are two lessons you are dealing with and they have to do with relationships and money. It seems both of these have been areas of disappointment and have left you to hang. This has given your usual self-esteem a real beating. But right now you need to acknowledge these lessons. Two things happened, firstly, you were not paying attention and secondly, when you did, you tried to control things. They both left you, of course. You must keep an eye on your goals but they cannot be forced. In trust, all should work out as it should and matters in your life which seem so hard to put to rest will find their true place.

Aquarius - January 21 - February 19 "Lunar Eclipse" There are changes afoot, some you will be pleased over and others which may not seem as pleasant. Pulling the Lunar Eclipse card speaks of endings but also starting anew. It indicates some kind of a break. Any actions you take at the current time might not have the expected results. If this is a goal that is important to you, be conscious, vigilant and clear about what you want. In many ways, it may seem as if your life suddenly comes into register. What you expected to work itself out hasn’t as you had hoped. The good news is: you’re attracting new contacts and people will help you achieve your goals. You may see some friends exit your life but others coming in with more compatible goals and interests. Expect surprising news, such as a pregnancy, a birth, friends breaking up or someone close to you who is moving away. Some Aquarians may experience issues with spouses or their children. Family dynamics are about to be altered and a new approach is needed. It feels as if you are being made over, but this transition is felt most intensely on some internal level. Pisces - February 20- March 20 "Twelfth House" When it comes to energies there are none more beautiful than those expressed by the 12^th House, and none more potentially destructive. Since this is the house that represents time spent in the womb before birth, or it is past lives sneaking up on us, making us see, forcing us to confront what we can’t run away from and what we should not ignore. The 12^th House represents those things we hide from ourselves. You are very connected to unseen, psychic energies now. Your mind is also rich with imaginative fancies but connecting with reality is more difficult. In the next few weeks, events that seem “fated” will occur. You may even encounter a real ghost! Because the 12^th House rules sickness and confinement, you may find yourself visiting hospitals and medical facilities above the norm. Any medical tests you have will either have surprising results and a few may even be inaccurate. You may find creepy people latching on, "shadowing"you, ones that want you to give their lives meaning and solve their problems. Avoid anything beyond casual with these people. You may also find yourself the topic of outrageous rumors so it is important to rise above them. Hidden enemies may come out of the woodwork and may not be so hidden anymore. That’s good because at least you know where you stand.

Aries - March 21 - April 20 "Ninth House" If you find yourself reading voraciously, it’s because your mind and soul are experiencing hunger pangs. You may find yourself in the next two weeks going into uncharted territories, mentally, or physically. You are ready to see and experience a whole new world. I hope you have your ticket ready, because you’re about to be on the move. In many ways, it feels as if you are relieving yourself of a tremendous burden. What mattered to you may not seem as if it matters so much anymore. If you’ve had worries you can expect them to seem less so. You are in for some amazing experiences. That novel or non-fiction book you’ve had in mind to write will soon be taking form. If writing is not your forte, you will no doubt become enmeshed in some pretty unusual ideas for you— these may have to do with a philosophy or some form of mysticism.
